Heading up our corporate services offering in Jersey, Grant has overall responsibility for the provision of outsourcing solutions to a variety of corporate structures, including Jersey Private Funds (JPF’s), MOME structures, holding companies, SPVs, management companies, trusts and management incentive plans.

Serving as a director and board member of client entities, he oversees the delivery of administration, accounting and compliance services to both listed and unlisted vehicles for alternative investment managers, institutional investors and other corporate clients. Grant is also a member of our corporate services leadership team and provides direction across a range of Group-wide operational and business development matters.

Background and experience

Prior to joining the Group in 2016, Grant spent eight years working for Link Asset Services (previously Capita) in Jersey as Head of Shareholder Solutions. During his time there, Grant was responsible for corporate, trust and incentive structures administered for a variety of clients, including listed institutions, private companies and investment funds.

Earlier on in his career, Grant also held the position of Group Financial Controller for a small family-run business in Jersey, and Head of Risk and Compliance for Barclays International. In the latter of these two roles, he was responsible for interfacing between the business and its risk functions, overseeing risk and compliance activity across locations in Europe, Asia and Africa.

Grant was first employed by PwC in Jersey, where he qualified as a chartered accountant shortly after graduating from university. Specialising in the audit of trust companies and SPVs, he spent eight years with them, rising from associate to managerial level.

Qualifications

  • Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (chartered accountant).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Plymouth University.

Outside of the office

Grant enjoys all forms of motorsport. While he has a particular penchant for rallying, he also likes participating in sand racing, hill climbs and motorcycle sprints, and has consecutively won best overall driver for Jersey numerous times. Outside of that, he loves nothing more than spending summer on the boat with his family, fishing for lobsters and bass.
