When did you join the Aztec Group?
I joined on 16 March 2020 (just before we went into the Covid lockdown!).
Why did you join the Aztec Group?
I was looking for a new challenge and found the opportunity to apply for a newly created role within Aztec. I’d heard excellent things about Aztec’s culture and development opportunities, and they have a great reputation in the industry for providing high quality client centric services, so I was extremely keen to apply, and the rest is history!
What were your first impressions after joining?
Aztec is like no company I’ve ever worked for before and that was clear from my very first day. At the end of my first week the first Covid lockdown was announced but I had no concerns about starting my Aztec journey working from home and I was right. Aztec took excellent care of every one of us and the transition to working from home was smooth.
What is a highlight in your Aztec career to-date?
This has to be AztecFest in 2022. Being with everyone across the business, collaborating, planning for the future and celebrating Aztec’s success was incredible!
What is important to you in an employer?
I need an employer to care about me, my wellbeing and my professional development and not to just be seen as a resource. Having values that are clearly lived and breathed on a daily basis is crucial.
What advice would you give to someone considering a career with Aztec?
Don’t look back, I can promise it’ll be the best career decision you’ve ever made.
