Aztec UK registered as HMRC Tax Agent, expanding UK tax compliance capabilities

Aztec Group has today announced that Aztec UK is now formally registered as a tax agent with HM Revenue and Customs (“HMRC”). This development enables the Group to deliver a comprehensive UK tax compliance service across multiple tax regimes, further strengthening Aztec’s end-to-end service offering for UK-based entities.

With tax agent status, Aztec UK can now file tax returns directly with HMRC on behalf of clients and engage with the tax authority across a wide range of compliance activities, improving efficiency and enhancing the accuracy and timeliness of submissions.

Aztec’s expanded UK tax compliance services cover:

    • VAT
    • Corporation tax, including for QAHCs and REITs
    • Partnership tax
    • Construction Industry Scheme

In addition to preparing and filing tax returns, Aztec will support clients with a broad suite of related compliance activities, including:

    • Registering and deregistering clients for the above taxes
    • Responding to HMRC enquiries in relation to returns
    • Checking payment details and asking for reallocation of funds
    • Preparing or reviewing tax provisions for accounting purposes
    • Filing WHT treaty passport applications
    • Country by Country and Pillar 2 registrations and notifications (but not data preparation)

“Becoming an HMRC registered tax agent marks an important milestone in the expansion of our UK tax capabilities,” said Mark Swiecichowski, head of the UK Tax practice at Aztec Group. “This status enables us to deliver a more complete, technology enabled compliance service for our clients while ensuring the highest standards of control, governance and regulatory alignment.”

Aztec will continue to focus exclusively on compliance services and will not provide tax advisory support such as structuring or tax planning.
