We’re proud to be sponsoring the upcoming BVCA Alternative Fund Strategies conference, taking place in London on 28 March 2023.
This year’s event will explore some of the ways private equity is diversifying as it matures, developing new approaches and investment products across a wider range of markets
We’ll also be moderating three sessions on the day.
The conference kicks off with the secondaries forum, with our Group Head of Business Development, James Duffield, moderating a panel session called ‘2023: how will LPs portfolio change?’. This session will focus on the ‘denominator effect’, reflecting on how LP’s are now having to turn to secondaries to rebalance their portfolios. James will be joined by Vivien Blossier from Intermediate Capital Group, Martins Marnauza from Coller Capital and Evelyn Zhang from CPPIB.
In the afternoon both the private debt and infrastructure sessions will be hosted.
At the private debt forum, Kevin Hogan, Head of Private Debt will moderate a session called ‘ESG in Private Debt: What is happening?’ This session will focus on best practices for data collection within the market and how to drive ESG implementation when you’re the lender and not the owner. Kevin will be joined by Carl Giannotta from BOOST&Co, Imar Nandha from Blue Earth Capital, April Gagnon from Barings and Claire Hedley from 17 Capital.
At the infrastructure forum, Tom Bennett, Head of Innovation will moderate a session on ‘Infratech – the future of smart infrastructure, focusing on the opportunities in disruptive and recent technologies entering the market such as AI and machine learning. Tom will be joined by Michael McCarthy from Neuberger Berman, Alberto Gonzales from Cintra, Mark Boggett from Seraphim and Matt Barker from GI Partners.
The one-day event is taking place on Tuesday 28 March at the Riverside Building, County Hall and will bring together expert speakers to deliver a comprehensive overview on urgent matters that affect these alternative fund strategies.
