Background and Experience
Prior to assuming the role of Head of Client Onboarding, Debbie held various positions within our Markets team, including being seconded to our US office to lead the growth of our real estate proposition there, as well as other strategic aims of our US business plan.
Before this, Debbie was responsible for client relationship teams in Jersey spanning both accountants and administrators and acted as the relationship lead for a portfolio of real estate managers. She supported clients with their broad range of outsourcing requirements, including financial reporting, fund and SPV administration and governance.
Debbie has a strong background in regulatory compliance and company secretarial services (across Jersey and UK company law, and more recently, US SEC requirements). She has also sat on numerous SPV, trustee and GP boards within her previous real estate portfolio. Debbie has also been responsible for the operationalisation of regulatory and legal change impacting the Group’s clients, for example in respect of Economic Substance.
Debbie started her career in Big Four firm EY, where she managed several audit teams serving clients across a range of sectors, including private equity, wealth & asset management and real estate. She was also required to complete regulatory audits of entities under the DIFC, FCA and JFSC regulatory regimes.
Qualifications:
- History and Law (BA Hons) degree from the University of Exeter
- Chartered Accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland)
- Chartered Secretary (Chartered Governance Institute)
Outside the office:
A keen runner and qualified yoga teacher, Debbie enjoys staying active and being outdoors.
