Edward Moore founded Aztec Group in 2001 and led the business as CEO for 22 years before serving as Group Chair until June 2025, when Sean Hagerty took over the role. Under Edward’s stewardship, Aztec has evolved from a handful of people and a single client in 2001 into the global, premium provider of private markets services that it is today, employing more than 2,200 people across nine offices and administering more than €750 billion in assets, 450 funds and 4,500 entities for over 300 clients.
As Founder, Edward continues to shape Aztec’s strategy and culture, championing the Group’s relationship-led approach while supporting its next phase of growth.
