Background and Experience
Joane joined the Group in 2022 as an Associate Director in our Luxembourg Real Assets team. With over 18 years’ experience, Joane’s primary focus is on Alternative Investment Fund structures in Luxembourg.
Before joining Aztec, Joane led a team of real estate and private equity fund administrators and fund accountants at Vistra Luxembourg Sarl. Prior to that, Joane held a management position in Accounting, Compliance and Reporting at EY Luxembourg, where her responsibilities included managing several accounting teams with a robust portfolio of regulated and non-regulated real estate funds.
With a career spanning across both England and Luxembourg, Joane has an in-depth understanding of the real estate market and has managed complex multi-jurisdictional real estate transactions, including acquisitions and disposals, debt restructuring and refinancing, and insolvency proceedings.
Qualifications
- Certificate in Business Accounting, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of Surrey, England.
Outside of the office
Joane is married to John and mother to Ezekiel, Elijah and Elianna. Together as a family, they enjoy travelling and experiencing new cultures and cuisines. Joane also has a penchant for cooking and reading.
