Background and experience
Appointed Director in 2020, Matt joined the Group in 2013 as a Senior Financial Reporting Manager, assuming responsibility for the fund accounting requirements of a portfolio of private equity clients. He progressed through the ranks to his current position, having played an instrumental role in the onboarding of several new client relationships and growing and developing client relationship teams.
Prior to joining the Group, Matt worked at Northern Trust for almost 13 years within their private equity department. Originally joining them as a Fund Accountant in 2000, Matt’s performance saw him progress through the ranks to Section Manager and Vice President by 2008, a position which he held for just over five years.
Qualifications
- Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (chartered accountant).
- Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
- Diploma in International Financial Reporting.
Outside of the office
Matt has always enjoyed running and is a regular attendee at numerous events across the breadth of the Group’s busy sporting calendar. Matt spends the rest of his free time running around after his young son and his dog, but also very much enjoys attempting to play golf and trying to stay fit.
