Background and experience
Joining Aztec from Asset Manager Invesco, Simon’s background is focussed on Strategy and Innovation, leading a number of Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence and wider innovation projects to enhance investment analysis and distribution processes, while simultaneously operating as strategy lead across EMEA and APAC for Investment and Distribution domains.
Following an early career in Marketing, it was a move to Programme Assurance consulting for the aerospace and defence industry where Simon first discovered corporate innovation, challenging and improving ways of working, ahead of a move to financial services.
Qualifications and professional affiliations
Simon has a degree in Business & Management from the University of Exeter, is a member of the INREV Technology committee to promote adoption of innovative technologies in the non-listed Real Estate sector, mentor to a number of FinTech accelerators, and founding member of the ERC3643 Association, to establish and promote tokenisation standards for the future of asset management.
