Aztec Group supports NextEnergy Capital on $974 million close of NextPower V

Aztec Group has supported NextEnergy Capital, a global renewables manager specialising in solar and energy storage infrastructure, on the successful final close of NextPower V SCSp, a Luxembourg-domiciled fund focused on solar infrastructure.

Aztec Group provided administration, accounting and transfer agency services to NextPower V from its Luxembourg office, combining deep local expertise with a fully-integrated, technology-enabled delivery model to support the fund’s structure.

Aztec’s relationship with NextEnergy Capital dates back to 2020. Since then, the partnership has expanded significantly to include multiple vehicles across the platform, including NextEnergy III, NextEnergy UK and co-investment vehicles.

Chris McErlane, Director at Aztec Group, said: “Our partnership with NextEnergy Capital demonstrates how we combine specialist expertise with a responsive, tech-enabled approach to support complex infrastructure strategies, delivering a service that is both high-touch and highly efficient.”

NextPower V aims to deliver long-term, risk-adjusted returns through a diversified portfolio of solar assets, platforms and adjacent technologies. The strategy reflects growing investor demand for stable, income-generating renewable infrastructure, underpinned by long-term power purchase agreements and regulated revenues.

This close forms part of a broader series of significant fundraises supported by Aztec, including Norvestor’s €2 billion close of Norvestor X and Hollyport Capital’s US$4.5 billion close of Fund IX, reinforcing Aztec’s position as a partner of choice for managers seeking scalable, technology-enabled support across the fund lifecycle.
