Background and experience
Ed joined the Group in 2017 from BlackRock, following the investment management company’s decision to entrust the management of their Channel Islands operations to the Aztec Group. In his previous role, he was a director with overall responsibility for BlackRock’s Jersey office, sitting on the board of 14 entities and seven property companies and overseeing US$16 billion of assets under management and principal distribution of BlackRock’s European retail funds.
Originally from the UK, Ed moved to Jersey in 2008 to join BlackRock. Initially accepting the role of Vice President, his responsibilities included oversight of transfer agency, fund accounting, corporate governance, finance, tax and legal and compliance. Prior to pursuing a career in asset management, Ed held other positions in the finance, sales and marketing sectors.
Qualifications
- Certificate in Investment Management from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
Outside of the office
Ed enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, and watching and participating in sports, particularly golf and cricket – the latter of which he indulges as a regular for the Aztec Group’s own team.
