Background and experience
Farhan joined us in 2018 as a Director in our Luxembourg Real Assets team and was promoted to the role of Head of Real Assets in Luxembourg in 2020.
Prior to joining the Group, Farhan was a Director of Audit and Assurance at EY Luxembourg, where his responsibilities included managing audits, establishing the wider team’s audit and review approach, and leading consolidation audits for large groups with operations spanning multiple jurisdictions.
During his eleven years with EY, Farhan’s primary focus was the management of real estate and private equity structure audits. He was also heavily involved in assisting the clients on issues related to IFRS, and in the conversion process from GAAP to IFRS, drawing on his intimate knowledge of financial reporting standards.
Across the breadth of his professional career, Farhan has had exposure to a diverse range of industries, spanning real estate, private equity, infrastructure, banking, manufacturing, trading and the service industries. Some of his earlier roles in the professional services sector include working for PwC member firm A.F. Ferguson & Co in Pakistan, where he progressed through the ranks to be an Assistant Manager of the audit team, and two years in an audit supervision role at KPMG Dubai.
Qualifications
- Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
- Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.
- Réviseur d’entreprises (Luxembourg Chartered Accountant).
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from University of the Punjab, Pakistan.
Outside of the office
As well as having a passion for cricket and interior design, Farhan enjoys travelling with his family, exploring the world and learning about different countries and cultures.
