Background and experience
Before joining the Aztec Group, Kristin was Lead Policy Adviser on funds, managed accounts and asset management within the Chief Minister’s Department for the Government of Jersey. Her role involved working in partnership with the Jersey Financial Services Commission, Jersey Finance and other trade associations and advising on the legal policy matters relating to the continued development of Jersey’s financial services offering.
Australian by birth, Kristin moved from Sydney to Jersey in 2008 to join one of the Island’s leading offshore law firms as an Associate, before later being promoted to Senior Associate. During her time there, she specialised in investment funds, advising on the establishment of fund structures.
Prior to her move to Jersey, Kristin worked as Legal Counsel for the financial services department at Perpetual, and held numerous roles as a lawyer and solicitor at various different firms in and around Sydney.
Qualifications
- Degree and Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Technology, Sydney.
- Master’s in Corporate Law from the University of New South Wales.
- Solicitor and barrister admitted by the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
Outside of the office
Kristin is passionate about cooking, so when she’s not walking her dogs around the picturesque coast of Jersey, she’s hard at work in the kitchen.
