Simon King,
Head of Private Equity - Jersey

Background and experience

Before joining the Group as a Director of Fund Services in 2016, Simon was a Director at Intertrust (then known as Elian Global). There, he formed and headed up the fund operations team, led a number of client service teams focused on the administration of real estate, private equity and money market funds, and served on the board of multiple structures. Simon also implemented a series of change programmes to support the development and reorganisation of the company following a management buyout.

Simon’s career initially began in the commercial real estate market in London. His first role in this sector was for a FTSE 100 company, with whom he worked for over 20 years, rising through the ranks to eventually become Director of Property Legal Services and the Transaction Management team.

Following this, Simon took the opportunity to move to Jersey in 2007, accepting the position of Director at MIFA (now State Street), where he chaired a multitude of project committees, founded their new business committee and centralised the client due diligence function that supported their European business.

Outside of the Office

Above all else, Simon has a passion for the sea, and enjoys fishing, boating, and kayaking. In 2013, he began volunteering as a crew member for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. Aside from his seafaring hobbies, Simon likes to follow the football and any other sport on TV.
